Welcome to the Area 5 Website! We invite everyone into an inclusive world where women and girls are given an opportunity to find their rightful place in society equal to that of men.
As you view our advocacy and service projects, know that our campaign is to stop Violence against women and girls and the prevention of early marriage and early pregnancy.
Education is the key to empowering women because when we educate women, we educate the whole world. In Zonta, we are always challenged to do our best to uplift the lives of the marginalized women and as game - changers we grow as well as fulfilled and empowered human beings.
District 17 's purpose is to uphold our Zonta mission. We pledge to advance the status of women worldwide and we continue to be proactive in achieving our objectives. As our District Governor Lalivan's quote from writer Barbara Coloroso goes "the beauty of empowering others is that your own power is not diminished in the process."
